Woman burned in fire pit accident

by Administrator 25. September 2009 00:25

A woman in Kenosha was burned after falling into a fire pit Saturday. The fire pit was a portable fire pit, and at the time of the accident, the exterior was uncovered.

While some accidents involving fire pits involve careless behavior by people operating them, some accidents are the result of product defects. Fire pits are especially prone to such defects because of their hazardous nature.

If you have been burned while operating a fire pit and believe the accident was due to a product defect, contact the Kenosha products liability lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., 800-242-2874.

Seven employees were burned in a Kenosha restaurant kitchen accident Sunday. The accident occurred when hot grease from a high-pressure fryer at Luigi's Pizza Kitchen and Restaurant hit them.

The restaurant's chief said the hot grease sprayed in the air because the cover on the fryer was not completely tightened. Five of the burned employees were taken to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for injuries.
