The rights and procedures of pharmacies

Posted on Wednesday, October 28th, 2009 at 4:04 am

Pharmacies are required to follow a number of procedures to ensure that prescriptions are filled correctly and safely. These procedures are generally outlined by government organizations, and if a pharmacy fails to follow these procedures, they may face criminal or civil charges.

These procedures include checking to make sure the person has the appropriate health insurance coverage, maintaining patient records of new and returning customers, and require customers to confirm that they understand the risks and dangers associated with the drug.

If a pharmacy fails to follow these procedures or incorrectly fills a prescription, then it may be liable for damages. If you or anyone you know has been injured because of a pharmacy error, contact the Kenosha pharmacy malpractice lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ®, at 800-242-2874.

The difficulty of determining liability in chain accidents

Posted on Monday, October 19th, 2009 at 6:31 am

When people drive on crowded highways and other roads with heavy traffic, they run an increased chance of being involved in chain accidents. These accidents occur when one car smahes into another, causing the other car to create a chain of accidents that are linked together.

One difficulty in chain accidents is determining who is responsible for the accident. In some cases, one driver may be responsible and could be sued for damages. In other cases, multiple drivers might be involved and determining the allocation of responsibility could require expertise and an investigation.
