Three people injured in alleged drunk driving accident

Posted on Tuesday, January 26th, 2010 at 5:46 am

Three people were injured in a Kenosha car accident last week. According to police reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle, and the car swerved off the road and rolled over into a ditch.

Apparently the driver was drunk when the accident occurred, and authorities believe his intoxication may have contributed to the driver losing control of the car. When medical officials arrived to the scene, the driver and two passengers were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Posted on Wednesday, January 20th, 2010 at 1:32 am

The Wisconsin assembly passed a ban on texting while driving Tuesday. While the assembly provision is more severe than the Senate version, it is a sign that the state is closer to having an outright ban.

If the ban eventually becomes a law, it will likely ban any typing on cell phones or computers while operating a motor vehicle. The law will likely reflect similar bans in 19 states across the country.
