Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Kenosha Restaurant

by Administrator 27. July 2010 00:27

The Journal Times reports that 2 Racine County residents have fallen ill with salmonella. This marks 28 people who now are confirmed for the infection. The salmonella outbreak is linked to a Kenosha restaurant.

Some of the patrons have decided to sue for damages, including reimbursements for their hospital bills. According to the Journal-Times, "That includes Tanja Dzinovic, a Pleasant Prairie woman who last week sued the owners of the Baker Street Restaurant & Pub, 6208 Green Bay Road."

So far, there has been no luck in connecting the foodborne illness outbreak to any particular food. The health department forced the resaurant to close, but it has since reopened.

Defective food products can cause you to become seriously ill. If you or someone you know has become ill as the result of a defective food product, contact the Kenosha Defective Food Products Attorneys at Habush Habush & Rottier, S.C., by dialing 1-800-2-HABUSH.

Wisconsin legislature moves closer to passing texting while driving ban

by Administrator 20. January 2010 01:32

The Wisconsin assembly passed a ban on texting while driving Tuesday. While the assembly provision is more severe than the Senate version, it is a sign that the state is closer to having an outright ban.

If the ban eventually becomes a law, it will likely ban any typing on cell phones or computers while operating a motor vehicle. The law will likely reflect similar bans in 19 states across the country.

The risk of drowning in the United States

by Administrator 22. December 2009 05:02

Drowning is a common cause of death in the United States, especially for children. It can lead to death because liquid enters the lungs and prevents oxygen.

In the United States, drowning is the fifth likely cause of accidental death according to government statistics. While it cannot be absolutely prevented, individuals can take a number of steps to decrease their chances of being involved in a drowning accident.

These steps include wearing life vests in lakes and keeping pools protected from children. If you have lost a loved one in a drowning accident, contact the Kenosha personal injury lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.
