Fresh Express Recalls Romaine Salads

by Administrator 15. July 2010 00:37

Fresh Express, based out of Cincinnatti, is recalling their romaine lettuce salads as a precautionary measure. The subsidiary of Chiquita Brands said it received information that one of its Hearts of Romaine Lettuce packages tested positive for E. coli bacteria.

According to Food Business News, the recalled products consist of, "Romaine lettuce salad products with expired use-by-dates of July 8 to July 12 and an “S” in the product code." So far, there have been no reported illnesses. This is the company's second recall since May, when some of their products were found to be contaminated with salmonella.

The Argus Leader reports, "E. coli can cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting and fevers. Healthyadults usually recover within a week, but young children and the elderly are at greater risk for developing serious kidney damage and death."

Contaminated food products can make you seriously ill. If you or someone you know has suffered as the result of contaminated food, contact a Kenosha defective products lawyer at Habush, Habush & Rottier, S.C.

How headrests help prevent neck injuries

by Administrator 8. December 2009 04:13

Almost all cars on the road include headrests. Many drivers and passengers believe these devices are meant to improve comfort. However, they are not only luxury reasons but also for comfort reasons.

These headrests improve drivers and passengers' safety by reducing the impact of whiplash. For instance, when a car is hit from the rear, drivers and passengers' heads usually tend to jolt backward.

With headrests, an individual's head will not bend backwards as much, preventing serious neck and possible spine injuries. While headrests cannot always prevent injuries, they can usually reduce the impact of the injuries.

If you or anyone you know has been injured by a defective headrest, contact the Kenosha products liability lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.

The risk of airbag injuries

by Administrator 11. November 2009 05:16

When accidents occur, airbags often are released and help reduce the chance of significant injury. However, airbags sometimes lead to injuries not related to the accident.

Airbag injuries often occur because of the strong impact or a product defect. When the airbag has a defect and a driver or passenger is injured, then the airbag manufacturer or installer may be liable for damages.

If you or anyone you know has been injured by an airbag, contact the Kenosha airbag defect attorneys of 800-242-2874.

A woman in Kenosha was burned after falling into a fire pit Saturday. The fire pit was a portable fire pit, and at the time of the accident, the exterior was uncovered.

While some accidents involving fire pits involve careless behavior by people operating them, some accidents are the result of product defects. Fire pits are especially prone to such defects because of their hazardous nature.
