Pennsylvania – A woman is suing Penn. State Police for wrongful death claiming that a state trooper did not do enough to save her husband’s life.
The department has already released a statement verifying that the trooper’s actions were in violation of code and should be punished. After an internal investigation a captain with the state police released a letter to the widow stating that administrative action was found to be necessary and appropriate.
The trooper responded to a call after the husband was found passed out on the floor by his three young sons. The trooper came into the home, saw the man on the floor and left without calling for help. The man died the next die in the hospital of bacterial meningitis.
