An initial report on an airplane crash that occurred this month in Montana was recently released by the National Transportation Safety Board. The crash took the life of a 65-year-old Montana man who was flying back to his home from Wisconsin.
According to the NTSB report, the accident occurred at 9:15 a.m. on May 9th. A witness to the accident stated that she heard the plane flying while at her home, and, a short while later, she heard a poof sound and was unable to see the plane admist a huge cloud of smoke.
The plane was owned by New Frontier Aviation, and the man had been flying it under contract in Wisconsin for thirty days prior to the crash. Investigators are still examining the wreckage to determine the cause of the accident.
