About 50,500 Lenovo all-in-one computers are being recalled for a potential fire hazard that stems from an overheating problem in the computers’ internal power supply, Lenovo and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced last week.
The products subject to the recall include the ThinkCentre M70z and M90z all-in-one machines. Lenovo urges customers to stop using the products immediately. The company has received two complaints of fires worldwide. The PCs were sold from May 2010 to January 2012.
To check to see if your computer is affected, the Lenovo site has a page where you can enter your computer’s serial number. Lenovo will replace the power supply free of charge.
