The 2012 Wisconsin Film Festival, presented by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Art Institute, started on Wednesday and will end this Sunday, the 22nd. Local student films as well as international and classic films will be showing at eight theaters in Madison.
Tickets are $5 with a valid student ID and $8 without a student ID. Movie tickets are now only available for purchase at each theater box office, which usually opens an hour before showtime.
The Wisconsin Film Festival includes international documentaries, indie dramas, Oscar-nominated films, restored films from the 1940s and 70s, and movies made in or by Wisconsin natives. Special guests such as Focus Features CEO, an Oscar-nominated animator, and a distinguished film scholar will be in attendance at special events.
